Posted by Garrie on June 1, 2007 at 9:35 pm

    Hey All,

    No Friday night thread?

Anyways after just finishing the last of 26 T’s my fingers are burnt but the cold beer is soothing them nicely 😀

Anyone else having a light refreshment?

A silly question to ask a child of the sixties Marcella. The Summer of Love and all that. Of course I had long hair. 😀

A lot of my mates, some considerably younger than myself, are losing theirs so, about six years ago, I grew it below my shoulders for a while, just to p1ss them off. I’ll see if I can find a photo.

This is the best I can do quickly. The long hot summer of 1976 as I recall.

I’ll try to find a better picture tomorrow, especially one of the more recent ones.

I’ve never had long hair, when I was a kid my mum use to cut it and it was always cut short, then I joined the Royal Navy so had no choice it had to be kept short. When I left the Navy I said I was going to let it grow because I could but it wasn’t very long before it started to get on my nerves and bother me so it got cut short again, has been ever since.

    Not a bad idea John.

A Chrysler 300C could be regarded as a legitimate business expense to ensure your customers keep their accounts up to date

Imagine turning up outside a slow payers premises in a 300C. They would think "the Mob" had arrived and were about to deal out some punishment for non payment of signs supplied – so you are bound to get your money double quick. 😕

ive seen some i think very nice, but i think the colour and more so the wheels play a part on them. the guy in the unit next door to ours has a silver one. i honestly do not like it… the wheels really have to be the right size but they seem to stick little fiesta sized wheels on them with huge side wall tyres. 😕 :lol1: :lol1: :lol1:

im not a motot man myself so i know nothing about engine size, performance etc so im just going on its looks before i get screamed at. :lol1: :lol1:

Well Phill, it’s a legitimate business expense anyway so your countryman, the evil Gordon, will pay twenty percent of the cost. I can’t tell you how good that will make me feel.

Not sure I understand your complaint Rob. 300Cs have 18 inch alloy wheels with 60 section tyres.

Colour? Well, definately not black. I quite like the mineral grey because it matches my bike, but I actually prefer lighter colours as they stay cleaner longer, so wouldn’t object to the silver.

Justification is an interesting point Peter, and reason I don’t have one already is that there is no logical reason for me to have a car like that. My old Galaxy does everything I need and, like Rob, cars don’t normally do much for me. I much prefer two wheels.

However, in the last couple of days I’ve begun to realise that I don’t have to justify getting one. The fact that I want one is reason enough.
