yes and also worthy grants, we had a guy on here who approached the lottery grants for funding to create a book on British signage. he asked me to add some clout to its need or something like that. anyway, when i found out how much he was asking and how he planned doing it i was actually glad they knocked him back. good cause my ar$e… was want something like £40,000 grant which was covering him and his wife to travel the country, put up in hotels and basically live off, whilst he wrote this book. anyway, he got knocked back and rightfully so…. Don’t think we would have seen Mr Fenton take the same approach…. and i bet he will sell more than that would have ever.
anyway, lottery grants etc can go to good causes but allot of back patting goes on, government projects being helped and so on… same old same old… i guess if it goes unclaimed its as well going some place good than lying in a bank.

Do they have a poor signmakers fund?
