Um, not too good. It’s a year today since one of our mates hung himself.
It’s also my birthday, deferred for this year only to next Friday.

I don’t celebrate birthdays myself, (not superstitious either) its just another day in my life the way I see it 😛 but I do hope your good memories of your mate far exceeds the bad ones.
Had someone I’m very fond of try and ‘end it’ a few days ago too. Fortunately failed, but it is something I’m not too keen on experiencing again 😕

Edit!: Sorry Shane you beat me to it! Hope your mates OK. Tell him it’s not just him that’s in pain, if he succeeded there is so much heartache after. My mates elderly parents did not deserve the grief they have had to bear since.

Anyone know of any superstitious clients?
I had one last year. He owns a few race horses, and apparently in racing circles, green is a bad omen.
He wanted to sign his new horse float. His company name was Greenacres or something. He wanted earthy colours.
I wanted to sign his float using browns, olives and black.
when he saw the artwork he went ballistic! I had green (olive) in the logo. He wouldn’t even touch the paper I printed the proof on. Never seen a man go so nuts…. 😮
He insisted I redo it without any green. He kept saying ‘green is bad luck’ he was almost crying 😛
I said if green was bad luck, how did he get from his car to the stables to the race track without walking on the grass… the GREEN GRASS?
He stormed off, and I’ve never heard from him since.
Had a race driver who wouldn’t have any green on his car either for the same reason. Funniest thing I ever saw was when he was a contract driver for a race team that had greeny teal coloured cars. I asked him how he felt driving a green car. He told me it was called Teal, and not green, so it was OK. I showed him a colour chart that called it teal green 😎 … not long after the cars were painted blue :lol1: What a shame, I had to resign all the cars again :lol1:
anyone else have a similar experience?

I don’t believe in superstition i feel you make your own luck in this world
I unfortunately had a bit of bad luck today Ive been trying 4 days to get a very large canvas printed and it had to be fitted today had problems with profiles on my printer but got it done nether the less went and fitted it at 12 pm today and got a phone call at 3pm to say it was too big customer measured it wrong unlucky 4 him it was in the chief execs room of council and i have no more canvas till Monday what a pity but at least i get paid twice
but overall this was my only prob today so mustn’t grumble

Thanks everyone for your good wishes. I just wish that I hadn’t had a drink for each of you on top of the 3 I’d promised myself!

A belated happy birthday Lorraine, hope you had a good day despite the unhappy reminders. I kind of have an idea how you must feel because I would change my eldest sons birthday if I could. His 21st birthday was over shadowed by 9-11 and it is a reminder to him every year.
I keep telling him to just try and focus on the good things like his partner and kids but it can’t be easy

Marcella, just a thought but maybe you don’t get hangovers because you never sober up 🙄
Of course personally I believe what you say about not getting them because you don’t drink alot but just thought it was worth mentioning there could be another reason. :lol1:

In all honesty, I do get hangovers. But the headache disappears within an hour of getting out of bed! The only thing I really suffer from is lack of sleep when I’ve had a late night. That’s the killer.
