  • Freestanding Post Sign with light solutions?

My client has requested that we install an illuminated post sign at the entrance of his caravan park. He wishes that we make it from aluminium products (dibond, galv posts, rails, clips etc…). Easy enough.
However, i cannot figure out the best way to fix a trough light at the top of such a sign, has anyone got any good ideas for me to try?

Have a look at these for inspiration………http://www.tradesignz.com/index.php?cPath=1004

If you already have the lights, then you will have to manufacture the brackets yourself, most likely. Probably have to make another rail between the posts to mount from.

    Pryam,

I did one of these just before christmas. We left about a 150mm space above the panel and the top of the post to which we attached the brackets to hold the light. We used 400mm twisted brackets from Portland lighting.

We drilled a hole in the post at the top and fed the cable down with another hole at the bottom for the cable to come out.(this was done prior to erecting the posts.

Hope that makes sense, I can’t attach pics here so will put a couple in the portfolio section so to make it a bit clearer 😕
