    Hello,

I am doing an advertising board for a man caled Mr Foxcroft, and guess what – he wants an image of a fox!

Does anyone have any artwork of a fox running, jumping or just lloking foxlike?

    Thanks!

    Dear Peter and David,

They are simply great, thanks. I will use the simpler of the two, as it is a freebee job for the local cricket club. Thankyou for taking the trouble.

    Regards,

    David

My image was posted for the benefit of ‘happydavid’, not to expand your portfolio. He asked, he recieved, he appreciated.

Anybody here will willingly help out a fellow signmaker. ie. ONE person desparately NEEDING a font or piece of artwork, but by the time the day is out it’s been downloaded 50 times by either the curious or ‘collectors’……
…..I regularily help & am helped in this regard by members of this community, and appreciate the time and effort in searching for artwork or (heaven forbid 🙄 ) fonts. I don’t think I’m being ungenerous by taking it off once it’s served its purpose, I gave a resource to a fellow signmaker because he asked for it – not as a group freebie.

    No offence intended. 🙂

What side of bed did you get out from?
I did’nt want to sponge your artwork or "expand my portfolio" thank you.
I do often look and see if i’ve got a different image to post, then you can "expand your portfolio" if need be. 😥

I dont want to start a war here, but if I post an image, I expect more than just the requester (is that a word) to download it. I have often downloaded stuff that was not meant for me, if only out of curiosity.
If you only want one person to benefit, then email the vector. I have done this with images that I have drawn myself, and felt were not for general use. Otherwise dont post the image on the boards. This is a community, and if you dont want to share with the community, dont post.
This is just my opinion, no offence meant or intended.

Thanks for a balanced view Peter, and not getting out the big stirring stick. And no offence is taken from either your or Glen’s comments, and none was intended by mine. Really, ‘words from the wise’.

I will bear it in mind that if I don’t want something to be for general consumption I’ll offer it as an Email. That way I can still be helpful to those that request a specific item, and (hopefully) not cause offence by not directly posting some piece of artwork that I might concider as not for general release.

Sorry Dave if i sounded a bit blunt, but like Peter said, most of it is down to curiosity, now and again i may keep a vector but 9 out of 10 times i have it. I just look to see if my image differs a lot from the other, if it does i’ll post mine for others to share.
    Sorry Again,
    Glen

No worries. I’m glad we’ve got the status quo back, (and not in a ‘two chords’ & denim way……)
