I thought I would make this post to avoid any confusion with regards to some forums just now.

The links forum is closed until the weekend. Every post has been removed & will be reposted with proper titles in place.
The reason? We had many links loaded there that were now broken. We had many duplicate links. We had many sites linked to that were NOT free. We had many links that were NOT sign associated.

The gallery forums are getting cleared out and renamed.

There will be a new gallery forum created, but “will” also hold most of the older posted images/work. I say most, because many of the posts in that forum had broken links. The main reason for this was that people posting there were linking to off-site pictures. In time, these images are deleted or moved from the posters server. Ultimately creating a dud thread. In turn we have deleted them all that appear this way.
The new forums must only be posted in if loading the images onto “our” server.

Full details & instructions on these new forums will be posted within them, these forums will only be open to “registered members”

The “graphics help and discussion forum” will be getting amended in similar way.
This forum will only be open to “Gold & UKSG” Members.

Hi Rob, why is this forum so exclusive? I am sure members who ask for help and critique would like any help they can get, not just from Gold Members. Yes restrict it, but how about including us Silvers and Bronzies as well (-)

David.. This is just my opinion, so don’t take offense, but I think Rob is being very generous offering the different levels of membership, and Each level is Well worth the money.
You get what you pay for, and i can’t see why anyone wouldn’t get a gold membership.. It half the price of a roll of Reflective vinyl for pete’s sake!
As I’ve stated before.. the best money I’ve ever spent!
Just look at the invaluable info you can get for FREE on this site.
I just wish I sould get a UKSG membership! guess Id half to move shop a bit.

    Cheers

The only difference shown on the memberships page between Silver and Gold is file swapping, which is the Bronze. I presume therefore that Gold is the Bronze package plus the Silver package 😮 No PM facilities etc on any of them.
I didn’t require file swapping (which borders on Piracy to be honest) so that is why I went for the Silver.
I am not a Signmaker as such so I don’t need UKSG either, but I do have a lot to offer on the design side if anyone needs it. Just wanted to help 😀
I dont even want half a roll of Reflective vinyl 😛

    Good Point David,
I apologize, my previous post may have been in haste and not well thought out.
I just really believe that the Gold mebership is a great value, if you use all of what’s offered or not. As with anything offering different otpions, We’ll have different views on them.

    Cheers
    Steve
