    Hi all

How much do you guys pay for 8×4 sheets of Forex

We have a local supplier but I was just wondering if I was paying over the odds for the stuff.

Also is there a trick for reducing the amount of static the Forex seems to possess.

    Cheers me ansums

I find Paper Co / Europoint best for price and service. The static is a bitch and has been covered on here before if you do a quick search. 😉

As I soon as I remove the protective film I squirt the whole caboodle with the ‘ol favourite: a dab of washing up liquid in water and then squeegee down with a good quality window squeegee.

I actually do this a couple of times or even three to remove any stubborn :headbang2: static particles

    Hi Carrie

I paid about £50 for a sheet of 10mm today. Shis seemed a bit steep to me

Although I didn’t have to pay any delivery and I can get it same day as and when I need it.

What do you think? Is that expensive?

We pay around £45 with VAT from Westward Plastics

I read somewhere on the boards – Spray a fine mist of water on to the protective cover before peeling off…..

    It works a treat 😀

No more static shocks 😮 (and the dust stays on the shelves instead of jumping straight on to the board)

    Cheers

What are we talking about here?
    5mm or 10mm?
Forex or Foamalux ultra? (or equivalent)

    Has VAT been added?

Paul, I cant for the gordons of me think what exact price we pay right this minute … but I know its not as much as you are paying?? I ‘ll look when I get in work tomorrow. ……. 😆 Ive only been ordering the stuff and been responsible for inputting invoices and paying them for the last two years ….. of course Im not going to know the price

Ive also got to mention …. this has nothing to do with the sheet materials but more your avatar picture …….. have you ever seen the movie “Road Trip” you look like the guy who looks after the snake, the one who tells the story!!! Just had to say it Ive been thinking it since seeing your pic.

We use Europoint 5mm £16.50+ vat 10 mm £31+vat a little unreliable on service though..

Our local supplier is Barkston plastics they charge about £1 per sheet extra but no cutting charge( within Reason) and no carrage as they deliver.

If we need some 100% next day we use Cox/Adp/Robert Horne or whatever they are called now….

    Hi Carrie

Someone told me my dog looks like the one in ‘Road Trip’, weird

I’ve heard of people starting to look like their pets but starting to emulate the cast of a movie now thats a new one.

I’m going to have to see this film to see if any other members of my family are in it

My first avatar was rejected by rob (don’t ask) so I took this one really quickly and e-mailed it to him without really looking at it. My wife said I look like I’m inside a fish bowl. 😮

Don’t tell me I look like a character from ‘Finding Nemo’ Carrie
