Just reading through a info/tech sheet for forex-classic where is states:

    quote :

FOREX-CLASSIC is suitable for outdoor use in sun, wind and rain.

Any opinions on this, has anyone actually done any tests?

    Hi Lorraine,
Yes we use it all the time at work for all types of signs. The thiner foamex does expand in the heat eg:3mm. we usually use 5 or 10mm for outdoor signage. It’s easy too cut and shape as well. any others questions, please ask. 😀

I made some signs out of foamex 5mm in panatrim frames
they have been up for 10 years and still look in good condtion, they have just dis-coloured and are a grubby grey instead of white.
(and he got them cheap as it was a private job, when i was working for a company)

If in doubt Lorraine (regarding how the face may deteriorate that is?) then cover them with 5-7yr or 7-10yr vinyl 😉

Just wondering really as Forex-classic (the brand) say suitable for outdoor use, but foamalux (the brand) says only white is suitable for outdoor use, as colours are not UV stable
