    Hello

Ive been asked to put in a price in for 10 football boards.
( 2 foot by 5 foot ) how do you price this? As they are total different some need flood coating and some don’t, And they have different logos some being more time consuming to recreate then others.

Id price each board individually and itemise it on the quote.

I do all the boards round my local pitch and have done for the past few years . Basically i have a set price for them and sometimes its better for me than others but its always worth doing. Plus I can have my own board up free as i told them they are getting a discounted rate. this alone has got me loads of other jobs so was a nice wee perk . worth a try.

We also do advertising board for 3 local sporting clubs, I get alot of work off one club in particular to help them sell the boards we do a set price for the signs apart from any that need to be printed. We also insisted on the boards being 8’x2′ that way i can make two from one sheet. Been knocking them out a £125 each just using cut vinyl, as has been said you make more on some than others but it is good steady work

martin the guy selling the adds needs a fixed price to be able to sell and not going backwards and forwards to you for prices.
as mentioned set a price and take the rough with the dam right easy.

what do others use as the board.
i say if on the side of the pitch and a player may crash in to it or lots of bashing by a ball it should be alloy sheet. not plastic which will shatter or composite sheet which i think could open up. with a very thin sharp edge.

    Hi Chris

I use composite and just round the corners, on some occasions depending on the position on the pitch I will mount on ply board. We replaced 6 signs at a local football club that had all shattered due to being made from plastic.

    Hi Chris

Ive been making the sign boards 4 a few month now and all seem well. I have a set price. and as you said you take the good with the not so good but they still make me a profit! i use composite sheet as it has a good range of colours. Ive never heard of them opening up before! al keep a eye on them

    Thank you
