    just had a thought folks considering that the majority of our printers & plotters are of Japanese make will there be a problem getting parts when the local agents run out

    wouldn’t think it would be a major problem. most damage was done around the coastal areas, small industrial, fishing and agricultural communites in the main i think. a tiny % of Japan in the big scheme. the majority of japan is running like normal despite all the doom n gloom we’re seeing.

    spoke to a pal who’s sister is out there on the west coast working in some medical facility (research i think), according to her, if it wasn;t for the constant news running night and day, they’d have noticed little more than the initial quake, which wasn’t as strong on the far side of the island and did little damage where they are. I don’t have exact details of where she is as it was just a passing chat, could prob find out if anyone’s interested.

    I read yesterday that Nissan and Toyota have stopped overtime in their UK manufacturing plants ……because of concerns that they are unable to get components from Japan.
