Do I take it then that these were designers then or company men
If it was designers dont take no stick of them cause they cant do what you do thats why
they come to you. If it was the men in suits you just got to do it this way to impress.

I understand…… I must get off my back side and do an article on designers cause there is a whole market opurtunity if you can put up with messing about and they pay good money and if you bend alittle bit and do them silly favours like…. can you screw it on the wall we havent got any tools… Nor ave I mate but I got some double sided tape.

The daft beggars keep goming back for more.

Got to go now will look later to see how you got on…..FB

try this let me know if it works?

as for talking to them mate… if in future people on the other end of the phone say what is it you need. tell them “you need the artwork in either
.ai or .eps. but saved in vector format, so that it can be sent to a plotter”
they should know what you mean…. hopefuly! most dont… then you can start making them sound stupid 😉

Glad to hear you have got the job sorted Richard, when you contacted the designers couldnt they simply have told you what fonts they had used over the phone ? It would have made life so much easier for you Richard. As rob says if the files are in ai. or eps then it wont matter what machine they produced them on as the formats are dual platform so you wouldnt have had the problem of being sent a mac file.
