• folding large banner

    Hi All

I’ve got a large banner to do, size not 100% confirmed yet. But it looks like it’s going to be about 5m wide x 3m deep.
The problem I have is no courier will take a package that’s 3m long!!
If I fold the banner in half and then roll it up I have a chance that it’ll get picked up.
The question is though, will the crease in the vinyl once the banners folded come out once it’s installed? Or will it have a permanent crease?

    Any help/info would be appreciated.

    Cheers
    Garrie

Hi Garrie, what carrier are you using??

We use TNT and they normal take any size of parcel from us, i would also think that it will probably be hard to get the crease out This is dependent on the length of time that it is folded, the longer its folded the harder it will be to sort out.
Also are you using vinyl on it, or are you digital printing it??
    cheers

i wouldn’t fold it… i would roll it with card tubes taped together down the centre. if there is vinyl text on it roll it with the text facing out.
Ive had deliveries like this allot, so there will be carriers out there that will do it no problems.

Don’t fold it! Creased banners are the bane of my life (my supplier ‘folds’ them) takes a day or two for the creases to come out. I’d suggest getting a couple of tubes & rolling it round them (text out) & putting it into boxes taped together for added protection.

3m isn’t THAT big, certainly most of the larger couriers will take them.

We dispatch a lot of packages in excess if 5m via Tuffnells.
