Yes, but if putting up a foamex panel you must put it into a frame. If you screw it directly onto anything it will warp. The frame allows it to expand and contract with the weather. But it will last no problem.

Thanks marcella, I’ve just checked with Paperco and the price is £36 for an 8×4 sheet. with correx being £6.60 per 8×4 sheet there is quite a difference. Does correx come with a smooth finish or do you know of an alterantive

what do you intend to use it for? Correx is a fluted display board.

We want to create back display boards that fit in a Garage, they will be 6 x 4 with aluminium edging. 7 boards will link together and creat a display for sponsors aswell as defining the garage area. If the product comes in deep blue that would be superb.

You need foamex in that case, Correx is extremely light weight and hollow usually used for short term signage e.g. warning signs around building works etc. Not suitable for what you’re going to be doing.
Foamex is available in blue, possibly 2 shades of blue, I think (check with europoint) light blue and dark blue. -
Hi Dave,
Both products come in a Blue , i would say it was mid rather than dark , you could cover a white sheet in size 1220 x 3050 , this would reduce your waste as 6 x 4 comes out twice exactly , cover the board to the exact colour you want and have the better of the two products for the job. easy for me to suggest of course !! if its in a frame you would need to leave a small gap for expansion or better still use spring loaded edges to allow for movement when the weather changes.
All the best
