• Fluid Mask Help

Posted by Adam Ross on October 7, 2010 at 1:29 pm

    Hi

I have got a photo of a person that I needed to remove the background from and have done this using fluid mask 3.

I now have a tiff file with the person only on a transparent background.

Is there and easy way of creating the cut path in Corel to export to Versaworks for printing and cutting.

Every time I try even with the image on a transparent background it still will not allow me to do this because it is still a bitmap.

    Thanks

    Adam

    Hi

I am just learning corel and have had this to do only today.

The way I did it (and it perhaps is not the right way) is;-

Convert a copy of your image in draw to black and white line art in photopaint, save and then simply trace this image in coreltrace using sliders to adjust accuracy etc.

Place the trace over the picture, copy the picture, enlarge slightly and place to back to provide a bleed.

    Hope that helps

    John.

if you create a cut path in corel there is no point in using fluid mask. Just draw around your object then go to Effects – Power Clip – Simple
