  • Fixings for stainless steel

We’re doing a job for a customer, which we were originally going to CNC from composite, not much weight, so would have mounted to locators.

However, the design has become more intricate and with the finish they’re looking for I’ve proposed 3mm laser cut stainless steel, but draw back of this is welding studs to the back can distort the appearance to the front with the heat.

I am looking for a cross over between a heavy duty brass stand off fixing and a typical stand off for acrylic, the type that fixes through the sheet, and has a front cap, however they generally just finger fasten on with the acrylic type, and with it being steel I want something that more robust.

Brass locator, with a stud back, and a removable bolt head type front, are these about? Or any better suggestions? ❓
