Fixings – anyone used these
Posted by Matt Hards on November 29, 2006 at 7:30 pmJust seen these fixings on ebay, has anyone used them, are they any good. They seem like a good idea, for lightweight signs.

Hi Matt,
I know our guys use them a lot, so they must be ok, but don’t ask me any technical questions!!!
-
i have all the usual screws, self drilling ones, normal ones, and other fixings, just thought these looked quick and easy and give a good finish without caps etc.

V.K. Plugs I think is what you are after, just been using some,
non screw vandal proof. just drill the hole and bash em in!from Cherwell sign supplies 01280 840297.

Hi Andrew/Martin
How did you know I’d be looking at this thread?!
You are right though, they look great, I had a sample through a while ago, couldn’t remember who they came from. Now I know!
BTW, hope you remember who you are soon :lol1:

Thing is how do you remove them? Do you have to drill them out?
Not sure I would sleep well with the gales up here at the mo using plastic fixings.

I THINK the only way is to cut them flush to the wall. Apparently really tough nylon?
-
They are really tough to pull out, pincers can be used, but as lorraine says cut flush to wall after nipping the head off.
