  • fixing locators to acrylic letters, which glue please?

Posted by Hugh Potter on March 18, 2019 at 1:29 pm

    Hi all,
got some acrylic letters in that need additional locators attached, what glue do I need or can I use something like impact adhesive?

    Thanks

Don’t quote me on this but I believe it is tensol 12.

We got some sent to us by mistakes (rollseyes) that was ment to be for skybond letters. After it failing I posted on here.

Chloroform. Melts the locator into the letter.
    Just dont breathe it in!

    thanks for the replies guys,
unfortunately I got help up and couldn’t order any in, I’ll see what nasty stuff they have at the local window supplies place. I only need to fit around a dozen additional locators to some 800mm tall 5mm letters that I felt needed better support in the middle. Lucky I didn’t fit them ‘as is’ last week or I reckon the flex would’ve seen them work their way off and on to the floor.

I’ll think of something. Just a bit frustrating!

    thanks again.

    Hugh
