  • Fixing advice on large temporary banner

    Hi All,
I’ve been asked to quote for supply & fitting of a very large temporary banner to this hanger I don’t have dimensions yet but as you can see it’s pretty big!
It will only need to be up for 1 day & will cover the door area with the door shutter being down.
I am looking for a little advice on A/ what material would be best for this, mesh perhaps? & B/ what would be the best way to fix it bearing in mind the short-term nature & also the obvious fact it needs to be secure.
I will probably do a site visit either today or tomorrow to have a better look. Is there anything I need to identify or should look out for?

    hi Myles
that size i would recomend a frame and tensioned system
attached is a 7 x7 metre this is pvc and fairly long term but
can do mesh but price wise the print would be about the same
the frame can be removed after and holes capped
you would need cherry picker or large scissor and three men
    we do these
let me know if you need any more pointers

    Derek

    Hi Derek,
Thanks for that. I hadn’t really thought about a frame system with it being so temporary as it will obviously add a good bit price wise to it. I know the customer & the cost will most definitely be an issue! The other reason being the lack of a bottom edge to fix it to.
I was wondering if some sort of ratchet strap system could work somehow? with the straps perhaps fixed into the sides. Around the corner if you like, as the front of building projects out from the rest & I have a feeling it is block wall there but need to check. That would be preferable I’m sure to fixing into the cladding.
Actually.. I’m also just wondering if when the shutter is down it may be possible to attach straps to the eyelets top & bottom & pass them behind the shutter & tension from behind?? That way it would keep it flush to the shutter & less prone to getting wind behind?
