firmware update for new style pump – help needed with update
hi ladies and gents,
this evening i received my upgraded pump and fitting kit that i purchased for my uniform cadet 540.
ive been doing some digging and noticed people saying you need to update firmware, how do i go about doing this?
im not that techy so dont really know what im doing with regards to that, ask me to strip something down and rebuild it, easy, give me a laptop and and everything turns to gibberish :lol1:
is there a download or do i need to purchase it from somewhere?
im running versaworks v4.6
any help would be great 🙂

If I remember right you download the firmware and software for doing it from Roland website.

if it is ticked in the preferences in VersaWorks, then VW will automatically down load the firmware update for you and help you install itKev

VW would only let me download v5.1.1 for some reason, the pump is saying i need v6.3, none the less the pump is all fitted and seems to be running fine on my v5.1.1 🙂

needs more investigation Josh as I understand it cos the new type pump is more efficient it needs to run for less time which is in the latter firmware saving some ink.
