  • Finally My Work on display in an Art Gallery!!

Never thought Id see the day when my work would be hung in a gallery.

Just finished a series of eighteen 150x100mm bi-lingual brass signs for a Gothic gallery in North Wales. In addition there was a 150X250mm dedication plaque for a painting detailing the history of the gallery.

They were all cut from 1.2mm sheet, deburred and chamfered before engraving and paint filling. All in all 2 nights work, just got to do a little polishing tomorrow to remove my greasy finger marks before delivery. Fortunately the building is listed and all the signs have to be hung with non destructive fixings. I think they have opted for double sided sticky foam pads.

Hope to post some pics once the customer takes some…….

Will be on proud display at Oriel Plas Glyn-y-Weddw, Llanbedrog near Pwllheli, Gwynedd !!! you did ask!!!.

This is also the place I got married and have been used in some of the printed advertising material. Bit famous as we we’re referred to as the helicopter wedding in the area.

    looks fantastic !

just looking through and noticed that all functions had to end by 11.30 😮

we had a polish guy running the bar on sat night (wedding at mount somerset hotel), only the groom, two ushers, a couple of lasses and myself remained by about 1.30am, we asked what time the bar closed…. "when you go to bed" came the reply ! poor bloke was still there at 4am from what i heard !

We only got married there………great how hotel residents can usually keep bars open longer!! Hence the helicopter, we flew 15 miles to the reception site whilst the guests negotiated roadworks and holiday traffic…..

that’s the way to do it Greame, travel in style.

my sis in law was offered a helicopter ride in (only a few mins from the farm to the hotel), but she didn’t want to make a fuss ! lol, you would never have beleived that if you’d seen the bills for this place ! father in law would’ve liked much less fuss (his cheque book particularly), but it was him that suggested the chopper, in for a penny…. i guess.
