you’ll be an old hand with it in no time Shane,

It is, without a doubt, the easiest ‘new phone" i’ve ever had to get used to!!

I’ll let you know Hugh, as soon as I can pries it off the daughter, the son, the wife, the father and my sister… Only time I get to use it is if it rings and nobody wants to know it……

lol, it can be like that, I have friend who slate apple and iPhone yet when they "can I have a look at it" I’ll end up with a near flat battery time I get it back!

the querty keyboard is half the battle if you text a bit, emails are now a doddle without the typical nokia / sony / etc. predictive. it really is so easy to use.

    enjoy!

I have an ipod Hugh which I think is amazing. Basically It’s an iphone without the phone function but you can still access internet where there is a wifi connection.

you`ll only get it pinched Phil LOL.

I don`t have a mobile, but my husbands got an iphone… its so comical when you hear him swearing at the phone because he pressed the wrong key and know is dialing someone…

His latest thing when hes on the phone, he says he keeps hearing bleeping… turns out his ear is pressing the keypad while he is talking…

Funny you should mention the keyboard Hugh, I used to ignore texts or phone people who text me because I can’t get on with that predictive text and if I did try to reply it used to take me so long to reply because I can’t do "text speak" or whatever it’s called.

People use to say to me " Did you not get the text I sent you ?"

Still no where near up to date as I only use a phone to take calls, phone people most of the time but I did buy a palm treo just because it had a keyboard and I could at least answer texts :lol1: :lol1: :lol1:

actually Martin I text in preference to call. Gives me a written record of the ‘conversation’ and acts as a reminder if I have no way to take notes.

Shane before I got the treo I would have walked miles over broken glass with bare feet to speak to someone rather than send a text :lol1: :lol1:

At least with the keyboard I can type messages that make sense but I’m not the worlds fasted on a full size keyboard never mind the small buttons on a phone and because I don’t do text speak most of the time I can’t fit what I have to say in one message :lol1: :lol1:

Funny really because some areas of technology I am pretty much up to date but phones have always been something that I can’t seem to get to grips with 😳 😳

No not at all Dave, laptop or desktop computer for the internet, don’t think I have ever used the internet on the phone other than to check my balance and top up as it’s a pay as you go phone.
Can’t explain it really, it just seems to be phones that I can’t get to grips with. Mind you I have never stopped and taken the time to try so that might have something to do with it :lol1:

i had a mess with the new blackbery bold, its broader, buttons bigger and feels good t type with. lighter too i think…

I use an iPad now and again, have an ITouch for the gym, as much as i love their features, i cannot "work" from them. ive not got huge fingers, but still cant type fast with them. opening and closing keyboards etc gets me frustrated. dont get me wrong, the devices have amazing fatures and definitely dominate the apps world. anyway, for god knows many years now, ill be soon upgrading my blackberry to this new one. actually called 02 for prices on Friday…
Just giving my views again as someone that does use BOTH, i also recently updated my laptop to the new google chromebook when it was launched. love that too… comes in at around the price of an ipad, but feel it wins hands down.

I’ve never been a fan of Apple from my old computer days. They were so ‘full of it’ back then, my views have been tainted ever since.

I’m really very impressed with the iPhone 4 though. I’m pleased I was talked into it to be honest. I didn’t go with an Ipad though, but purchased an Acer Iconia running Android (I had planned to update my phone to android too, until I was talked into the iphone).

The Iconia is bullet proof too, but I only use it when I’m traveling. Does everything I want, and my daughter uses it for her Kindle electronic books when I’m not using it. My son got one too, costing me a fortune in download time with him watching Clarkson and co online though……
