• File Help Please

Posted by Gary Birch on May 17, 2007 at 7:59 am

    Hi all
I`m having trouble with this file. I can open it in Illustrator CS2 but cannot use Illustrator so I need to be able to save it in an earlier version. The trouble is when I do this I lose some of the flowers. I can import it into Corel 12 but again lose some of the detail. So what I was wondering was whether some kind soul can import it into Corel X3 and then save as version 12 please. Maybe if I am doing something wrong you can let me know.

Or if you have any other suggestions. Basically I need to split it all up so I can the produce the artwork for a car. The main problem I am having is losing some leaves to the right of the ladies head.

Please see what you can do.

    Thanks in advance

    Gary

    Thanks Marcella
No that is what I get also. I have attached a jpeg that was also supplied and that is how it is meant to look. Note the extra leaves or flowers or whatever it is meant to be.

    Its got me stumped.

    Stupid logo too lol.

    Any one else ??

    Cheers

Gary, the jpeg you have attached is what I see ……….?
What software do you want to open it in?

Try this… the fonts are not right as they have not been save as curves and I do not have them.

I get that too if I open it in Illustrator but when I save it in an earlier version to allow me to import it into Corel I keep losing some detail or if I just import it direct just the same happens. Thanks for trying anyway.

As usual you have helped me out tremendously. Did you import it into X3 and save it as an earlier version?? or did you do it some other way?? Works a treat anyway.

    Thanks a million.

Gary, I imported into Corel X3 and it was fine 😀 I asked what software so that I could upload a cdr file if suitable. But Nick did that before you replied.
    Glad it’s sorted.

    Marcella/Nick
Thanks again both of you. I will have to upgrade to X3 and stop being such a tight arse.

    Cheers
