Does anyone know of a file browser for AI and EPS files so I can go through my discs and see what the graphic is – on Microsoft Windows, that is.

Now all I get is a eps or AI icon and no saying what the graphic actually is.

I know I can open these files in Illustrator – then close it – then open the next one – which is incredibly tedious when I want to browse over a 1000 or so.

ACDC doesn’t seem to do it or windows explorer – anyone know of another file browser that shows a thumbnail of vector files? Something I could download?

    Thanks

    Ray

I have some vector art cd’s that use Extensis Portfolio for showing thumbnails. works well.

You could try and see what they have http://www.extensis.com

Cheap and cheerful, but I use PaintShopPro’s browse facility. It doesn’t always show up every graphic type, but its useful for finding most things quickly. 😀 One thing I like about it is it previews CorelDRAW files, which makes my life so much easier.

    Cheers, Dewi
