This is such a simple yet fantastic solution, anyone know where I can get one in the UK.

Thanks for the link Ian, just spent nearl $400 with them! Some great stuff there, it looks like Jag sell some of their goods, I noticed after I had paid, but it has worked out that it was more economical to order from the States anyway!

Hi Martin, I ordered 4 items, including an 8ft straight edge, and the shipping was under $28 US. However, I am awaiting the next leg of a dispute (sigh) as they want to ship everything from their manufacturer in Germany. Makes sense.
So, I get a new invoice (I have already paid in full, via Paypal), for approximately 45 euros more. I dispute. They say OK, 15% discount, fine. BUT because this business is not VAT registered, they have to add 19% sales tax.
So, my reply, send from the US, or refund and cancel.
    We will see.

As regards import duty, I have no idea, never even occurred to me 😮 Oh dear, something else to worry over, and all on a whim and a few fancy gadgets!

One day I’ll learn to think before pressing the ‘send’ button! 🙄

I learnt the hard way about import taxes when I ordered something from the US…had no idea about this until I got a bill from ups…I think thats where the bill came from…

I Ordered from America before and got them to mark it as a gift so no import duty or extra Vat. But I did deal with them on the phone and they suggested that. Most overseas dealers on Flea bay will do that.

Well, I have had the order cancelled. It was crazy, that the cost of the goods from Germany was almost the same in Euros as it was in dollars, about what, 60% more expensive? And the US goods come from Germany in the first place!
Jag have, on most goods, simply altered the Euro sign to a pound sign, and kept the figures the same as the German ones.
I’ve decided that I don’t need the goods that much. 👿

    Still awaiting a refund though.
