Fantastic photos
Posted by John Childs on March 22, 2007 at 11:26 pmNot really relevant on a sign site, but they were so good I had to share.
Apparently taken by a friend of a friend out the back of his house in Montana.
An eagle and a fox fighting over some carrion.

And I have a picture of a crow eating a squashed hedgehog run over by a number 32 bus

WOW! 😮 the 4th pic really shows the size and strength of the eagle.

Fantastic pictures, they could try selling them to a photo stock library.
Cheers John

Yes, it does doesn’t it? It made me realise that fox hunters taking eagles along to circumvent the new rules isn’t such a joke after all.
I particularly like the little magpie sitting watching the show, before getting out of the way.

Hi John, you should phone up the newspapers & try & sell pic No 4, see if they are interested, with your mates approval of course & put it on istock.com
with a bit of luck you could be half way to retiring then.John

Hi All,
This is a bit of a coincidence.
A few days after viewing these pictures I noticed a stack of bird feathers lying in the garden. I followed the trail and found half a dead Blackbird – so put it down to cats. This weekend I was in the garden with my eldest daughter and all of a sudden we heard loud squawking noises behind us. We both turned round and saw a sparrowhawk with a blackbird struggling at its feet. This was about 6 feet away – the sparrowhawk looked up at us, picked up the still alive blackbird in its talons, and flew away over the fence.
Amazing sight, shame about the blackbird, just wish i’d had my trusty nikon handy.
Cheers John
