  • Failed retractable banner tape

Guys I have have two retractable banners fail on me and I wondered if you could direct me to ultra very strong tape. Yes the banner system is not the locking sort but I have these and they are banner replacements from the companies existing retractable roller banner system. I need to get something Extra strong and also use tape on back I think but need tried and tested strong tape. I used 3m tape on one? And high strength banner tape on the other I forget the name

Hi, we always add a second strip of tape when assembling retractable banners. We’ve been using 3m 9088fl tape for years without any problems thankfully.

I always allow an extra 250mm of plain banner material at the bottom of the print to make sure it’s fully wrapped around the roller making sure there is no tension on the glue strip.

I would like to take credit for that Phill but I’m sure the fitting instructions tell you to do that. It makes sense really as it actually holds it’s self tight with no chance of failure.
