Here is a little job we finished this week.

    Picture 1.
All lettering is mirror stainlesss steel. Main text halo illuminated with LED’s
Black Dibond fascia. Had a lot of trouble fitting this one because the existing facia was so uneven 😮

    Picture 2.
Close up of lighting. I had to put a silver vinyl “outline/background” to the leterts as the black just about killed the illumination. Not what i would have liked but the customer insisted on the black fascia.

(Oops pics are not in order sorry ??) 😳

    Picture 5.
Rest of lettering is non illuminated.
Please note that the bad lead flashing will be covered by another contractor.

    Picture 6.
There was some extremly bad building work around the door, Blue crazy paving tiling 😮 probably done by a 3 year old with nothing better to do!
So the customer wanted us to panel around this disaster area. Which we were happy to oblige with. (its all money in the bank)

Inside was also a tilers nightmare so all the tiles were ripped off and the wall smoothed off. The back of the cookers were panelled with silver Dibond. as was the “electric room” which was a real grubby green painted finish. and the door was covered too.
The window sills also got the treatment too.
We also made a slightly curved feature panels for the front of the counter.

    Picture 8.
Another view from a slightly different angle.

We also done the reception side in cream Dibond with a silver window sill as well, but the seating hadn’t been fixed when we left the site and would not have made a good photo. I will update next week as we will be working close by again.

Blimey Mike, you’ve gone above and beyond the call of duty on that one!
That’s why customers see sign blokes as masters of all trades – because they are usually. Can you come round and fit a kitchen for me? 😀

    Very nice work, incidentally.

Great work Mike … exterior and interior :thumbup2:

You will have to try your “kneeling/don’t breathe/no chance of bus coming along” technique and get a nightime pic for us to see 😉 😛

Talk about a total transformation!! 😮 😮 😮 From rank to royal!!!! 😮

Amazing work Mike, as has been said, the interior is really smart… almost too nice for a takeaway. The paneling over the deranged tiling on the outside is cool also, really transforms it! 😀

    Cheers, Dewi

pic 8 shows a sort of curved face tray on your dibond, is this right or is it flat?
if curved, how did you achieve the fold? or is it a glue join rather than fold mate?

    just being nosey 😉

    Looks classy.
I am glad that the original wood moulding around the sign was kept.
    The counter is really gorgeous.
    Love…..Jill

First we made a simple 2″ x 1″ wood frame, then we cut the top and bottom profile of the curve out of MDF and screwed this to the frame. There was a 2″ return to the face so we routed the bend and then screwed one side to the frame then carefully wrapped the Dibond over the MDF former that gives the curve and then screwed the other side down to hold it all in place. We also made a top to cover the MDF so it was all flush and matching.

The customer was VERY HAPPY with everything and had paid for everything in hard cash, as I no longer work for rubber cheques and promises. 🙄

Thanks everyone for the posative comments! 😀

Big G, I spent 10 months fitting a kitchen in our house last year 😮 I even used silver Dibond on the walls too. It’s great stuff as you get lovely corner edges, no sharp bits. Well cool.

Now we are about to up sticks and move, and the house we hope to buy needs a new kitchen…………. (!) (!) (!) (!) (!) 🙄
