fabricated lettering: transcend
the follow images were taken last week when i was working down in newcastle. basically, they are built-up brushed stainless steel letters
with blue LED’s mounted onto a premade fascia backing by shop fitters.
after i fitted these all that was required was the painters to give the sign a few touch ups which they were trying to do when i arrived & moaned the face off them till they left me too it. 😉
work like this looks pretty straightforward but what you dont think about is me, crawling about in a suspended ceiling, covered in dust and crap, trying to find wires with a long bit of wood with a screw attached to try and pull fed through wires together to link up to transformer 😮 :lol1: :lol1:(oh yeh, these were the buggers that i snipped the top off my finger with scissors installing the LED’s in them. 😮 )
pictures as follows…
ive applied the polycarb backings to fascia like normal flat cut letters.
i then drilled holes through letters & in through fascia board and fed through wires for LED’s
next, i apply the built-up letters to backings….
then off into shop for the fun of the wiring 😕
back out remove the film from the letters and clean them up of finger marks etc
job done….
(special thanks to vinnie @ pheonix signs for his part on creating these letters… top notch mate 😉 )
