ii do not remember the cost to be honest dawn… if you give Cameron at the Glasgow depot a call I’m sure he will be able to give you all the info.
i think it was about £300ish and included free goody bag with felt squeegee, fitting gloves and also a laser surface thermometer which arent cheap. i think each depot is taking it in turn so it will be Bristol, London and Manchester next, then possibly back to Glasgow… not sure though, best checking. 😀

Thanks for the info Robert. I see in Signxtra that B&P are offering a free course but surely there must be a catch somewhere?

No catch, you just have to buy a cadet, the add gives the impression that it a free course if you attend one off there sales seminars, but read the small print, its only if you make a purchase, they also give the option of 20% of your first material order.

I did think it was too good to be true Peter but it’s a very fly piece of marketing. Where did you find the small print?

After I attended the promo. it is there in the wording though. I dont have it in front of me, but if you read it carefully, it does say something to the effect that its after you order you get the course.

so i ask the question Mr b&p man on the boards ( cant remember his name 😳 )

Is peter right, do you have to buy a product to receive this vehicle wrapping course or not??

i was thinking of going to one of these to view another printer and found this free course a incentive but if its a sales gimmick i wont bother 😕 , lets face it who in there right mind would go to one of these days and purchase a machine without shopping around / thinking about your investment etc… i think id wait a few months for sign uk where you can ponder without the so called hard sell !!

lets see if we can find out for sure before anyone takes the time to go to one of these and find out they have wasted there time (?)

Apart from the Free Gift issue.

I was very impressed by the way the promotion was carried out, it was a very good demo, and no hard sales routines were used,
If anyone is considering buying a printer, I would recomend going along to the roadshow, you will probably be given far may attention that at Sign UK.
Free gift or not, I went along to look at the printers, not for the freebie.

I have just had an email from Printmax.

    This is the relevant bit

No problem Peter. Yes please keep this email of confirmation that you attended the Coventry roadshow and that we owe you a place on it.

All places are booked up this year, you are probably best to wait anyway until you have , or are just about to get a machine, so you can start practising immediately.

So looks like there is no catch…
