  • Ergosoft Poster Print V12 profiles

    Hi All,

We have a mutoh valuejet 1304 and we use Ergosoft Poster Print V12 together with a Summacut D120 plotter.

Currently we can only select 2 of the profiles and we cannot print to the full 1370 width but only 1200. When we try to change the profile for a different media, it looks like everything is working fine until the last minute when it comes up with an error and does not print.

We have contacted the Mutoh helpdesk and they said it is a problem with the rip software.

Has anyone experienced the same problems and any suggestions on how we can solve the problem?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Does your version of poster print rip support a mutoh valuejet 1304 ? if so have you selected the correct printer in the print environment setting.

Hi Renatta, I have the same setup.
If you open the Print Environments tab then to set up a specific media size check the option ‘Use as default for this Print Environment’ and select or add the default media size you want to use for the printer.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Andy, we had a look in the print environment setting and we could not see any printer selections, but only the various printing profiles.

Neil, regarding the setting on the current printing profile, we do not have the default box ticked, however this is set to maximum width as per the attached screen-shot of the media. We have 4 profiles set up, 3 for the hexis vinyl we currently use and one for a new vinyl we wanted to try out. Currently only one of the hexis profile works but it does not print at full width. DO you have a similar plotter, only 1200 wide? Cna you still print full width or do you think this may be limited by the plotter width?

When we select the others profiles it starts printing correctly and towards the end it comes up with a failed message – unexpected error.

Do you also have problems changing profiles for the different medias or can you switch and change?

Yes, i have a Summa 1200 wide plotter.
    I haven’t printed over 1300mm wide yet.
It took me a little while to work out how to alter the default width!
Also I noticed if I want to print wider at quality instead of production it won’t allow me on certain vinyls?
I’ll take a look later and report back as to what I do, I’ve only been using this about 6 weeks so still getting to grips with it myself.

I have poster print v10 connected to a Epson 10600 so there maybe some differences between v10 and v12

In the print environment setting you can add a new print environment based on your printer by clicking the add button.

In my case the usable width of the media is governed by the printer and not the profile… just a thought.. did your profiles come with poster print ? if not are your profiles you obtained compatible with poster print ?
