Posted by Shawscreen on January 12, 2007 at 3:03 pm

Im trying to install my copy of Stylusrip 2.4 onto my new PC, but it keeps asking me for my license number, as I’ve had this Rip for a couple of years now all I can find is the CD 🙁 so I called EPSON for some help and all they can recommend I do is buy another Rip !!!!!! Is theyre any way of copying the license over from my old PC ??? As I dont really want to buy another copy….

If its not possible 😥 then will another Rip work for my EPSON Stylus Color 3000 ???

    Thanks in advance chaps 🙂

    hi
as its from the same cd i would create a restore point.
then copy the old rip directory over the new one. the file with the key in it would go with it with any luck the other files scattered around system directories should not be affected as they were instaled by the same cd

or try the windows drivers available off the epson site

If you still have it installed on your old PC then it is quite possible that you will be able to read it off the screen. Open the software and normally on the toolbar at the top is a drop down help menu. One of these options is usually a description of the software, ie: what version it is and normally the product key or liecence is included in the description. If there is nothing there then try the other drop down menu’s just in case.

    Try this Link:

    http://www.download.com/Belarc-Advisor/ … 74794.html

it usually gives your license numbers for all software installed on your pc, hope this helps.

Have you tried contacting Epson technical support? Not their customer support as this is a different department and really only interested in new sales. The technical support are normally much more helpful when it comes to this sort of thing.

Epson Technical Support were no help either, because I havent still got the original packaging or the cd case with the serial no’s they werent interested and said there wasnt anything they could do !!! I understand the reason they do this is to stop pirated software but I’m sure I registered it with Epson when I bought it, so I was a little dissapointed to say the least…..
