Hi. Does anybody know of a company that runs Engraving courses ?

Just looked on Roland & Suregrave sites but nothing.

If not a company, an experienced engraver. who would come to us, for a fee of course !

    Cheers, John

That’s ‘Engraving’ not ‘enraving’ which actually sounds more fun !!

    Ok thanks Stephen.

John – we’ve got a good engraving machine with a 600 x 400 bed , which doesn’t get used as much as it should.
I wouldn’t have clue how to use it but my son is getting to grips with it slowly.
Could do with a Varga saw and beveller as well tho.

More of an add on to the main sign business.

I would be quite happy to help you out. I have been using Gravograph machines for over 20 years. Gravograph will charge you a fortune by the way. And I’ll give you free advice over the phone. If it’s another make then I’ll have to see what differences there are in the software. I am in Leeds.

Perhaps you should set up a school Phil.

I asked a similer question a few months back, Rodney pointed me in a direction and we mangaed to move forward, though only doing quite basic stuff, like trophy plaques.

My main problem was, they either didn`t use that machine or the software I had… Gap in the market someone!!!!!!!! LOL

Cheers Phillip – my lad is in Sheffield this weekend and could have popped across 🙂

I think your right Denise – did get a quote from Suregrave late Friday – £500 ! for a day, which is ok ish if it’s your main line of business but still a lot of money.
