Does anyone know of a company who engraves the pastic that is two colours laminated on top of one another so the engraving goes through the top layer and shows the one below.

    Does that make sense

i recon most if not all engravers will use engraving laminate paul. if you have any sign mags there should be some trade engravers with adverts or even at the back of mag under classifieds.

The material we use is called TRAFOLITE which is a white/black/white sandwich. ABC signs (Eric) on 01202 488822 if you’re in Dorset!

    Hi Paul

I think there is a shop in Falmouth that do it – not sure what they are called. They are next to Finn M’Couls. Main business is repairing shoes I believe, but they have a lot of engraved stuff in their window. Might be worth a try.

Go to the ‘horses mouth’ rather than people like cobblers and Mr. Minit.

A customer of ours paid £22 for a small engraved label from the local cobblers whereas we charged £12 for the same label.

Find an engraver and cut out the middleman

PS There are engravers and there are engravers we got a job engraving on to supplied aluminium after the nearest engraver took 2 weeks just to tell them it would be another week or so before they could do it. We took 2 days so trial and error til you find one who you can rely on.
