Emily’s off to Africa in 2010
My daughter Emily just texted me…….she has secured a place on a World Challenge 5 week trip to Central Africa during Summer 2010.
She went trekking in Morocco last year and was desperate to do this trip as well……..it is a working trip with very few creature comforts……..the World Challenge staff are not there to moly coddle them…..only to stop them making any dangerous decisions.
A big part of this is that the teenagers are encouraged to raise the funds themselves………and be as inventive as they can doing this.
Knowing that I have a phobia of heights Emily has suggested I absail from the top of The Falkirk Wheel in April…….would anyone consider sponsoring me for that?

Your daughter seems like the real adventurer.
Toughing it for my daughter is to have no air conditioning, and get out of bed before lunch on weekends.
REALLY toughing it is not to have morning tea whilst she’s out shopping.. :lol1:
