Would some kind soul who knows more than most about embroidery.

Kindly put up an idiots guide to setting up design / artwork for embroidery.

    What things to avoid.

I want to be able to set up artwork and submit to an embroidery co knowing that when the garments are delivered they will be what I expect. Surely it’s not that hard. My first 2 experiences have put me off even wanting to push embroidery with my clients. All I have had so far is stuff for the bin 🙁 or amended designs.

I have designed for litho, screen, cut vinyl & digital surely embroidery can’t be that hard, or is it the way diff companies digitise artwork.

    Any pointers

    Ta muchly

Thats what I thought Tim, bought a machine bought the software, had chats to various people before hand, but boy when you get in to it it can be very technical, number of layers, direction of thread, different backing materials, thread tension etc etc.

I have seen some realy crappy embroidery on folks polo shirts, and I don’t want to advertise my embroidery until I get it perfect.
