We would get asked quite a lot for embroidery and I have been thinking of looking into it.
We have no experience in it and are looking some advice on it.
    Are we wise??
    Thanks

We don’t have one. But thought has crossed my mind.

Thing is the machine is very expensive. A single head machine will do 30 garments a day with you standing over it.

We use our neighbour for the odd bit of EMB and they charge me £3.50 a logo. That’s a lot of £3.50 to pay off the machine and a lot of days at 30 garments a day.

Am sure there are plenty trade supplier about. Personally think they are only worth it if your doing massive bulk week in week out.

We have an embroidery side to the business, certainly needs a dedicated member of staff to run it! If you can pick up some decent volume work then it can be pretty good! It’s getting stuck doing one offs or a couple of items that really can be a pain!

I just bought a second machine, single head brother pr655 to go with pr600 they barely stop, it’s pretty easy to make £20 an hour from one of these machines with minimal input, not long paying the £180 odd a month for 4year lease, if uve went to the hassle of vectorin a logo for a van, sign flyer etc 2 minutes digitises it for embroidery.
