Easysign – does anyone use it?

ive seen it advertised mate.. thats about it. dont know of, or heard of any users.. doesnt mean its bad in anyway. just that im not clued-up on it 🙄 😉

We use easysign, but we have only bought the basic plus option because of the cost. Victory do the full packages and i think the full version is about £1200.
We find it very restrictive and can’t even do an outline on the version we have. In fact on our other computer we have composer elite which is a cutting programme and this is far superior to our Easy sign version.
I think you would probably be better going for one of the others which are far cheaper.
The version we use lets the importing of files happen but such as jpeg etc you can’t separate the layers or edit them. I don’t know if other programmes allow this.

Further to my last Gav, I have just finished looking at http://www.signgo.co.uk
(sorry don’t know how to create a link yet!). they are offering signgo (full version) at $349. You can try it for 30 days before hand for free. That might help.
It has more features than our version of easysign so first thing in the morning we are going to download a copy to try.

Bite the bullet, and go for SignLab. You won`t regreat it.

Cox`s have an offer on at the moment. Colour master + thermal module (which will help with the PC600) £1500 ish

Regarding Corel Import to Signlab:

Signlab will install a Shortcut button in the Application Launcher of Corel Draw.
When you have created a graphic in Corel you jpress the Signlab Shortcut and this will directly open Signlab and will bring the graphics into Signlab.

With Signlab e6 you also can just drag and drop from Corel into Signlab with OLE.

Signlab not only bring in your graphics as wireframe lines, but also wll include thick line Attributes, whcih can then be welded and sent to the vinyl cutter as a cutting object.

I have another quick question, will it take an outline in Corel and then once in signlab convert it to a path??

How much is signlab and how much is an extra user license??

signlab comes in modules or as full package mate.. if your happy with corel & would just like to cut from signlab then go for that module.

full package? i think is around £2000 these days. but brian or bernhard will keep you right on that, im sure 😉

Gav, Signlab starts at just under £200 for the basic cutting package & goes up to £2200 for Signlab Colourmaster. There are also many packages such as Classic, Assistant & Expert in betweeen. If you email your fax number I will fax a price list over.

i currently use Wissen Cutboy and Corel 9. Been using this for about 7 years now (started with Coreldraw 3) but i`m more and more intrigued by Signlab the more i read these forums.

I assume the 2 grand package has modules for engraving etc?

I`m really only interested in the vinyl cutting modules as thats basically all i do.

What package should i be looking at.

i`m also interested to know what the node editing is like in SL as i find find Cutboy`s system really simple, effective and easy to use. (took me ages to learn it heh)

oh also forgot to mention, since you changed the way your outline library works, (ai file importing) you have made my life “hell” with using them along with Cutboy 😡 😀

Rod, I will send you a demo version of Signlab so you can try for yourself. Cadlink do something called a crossgrade for people that already have vinyl cutting software. It will mean you making a big saving on Signlab & you can keep your existing stuff.

The editing is one of the most powerful features of Signlab. Far more powerful than any I have come accross. We produce all our outlines in Signlab, I think Vectorwise do as well & you can see what kind of result you can get by looking at the sample file of the girl.

Sorry about making your life hell! The outlines are far better now than they used to be. Unfortunately there are still some problems with older software that is still out there 😥

Its the only area of concern i have for replacing Cutboy with it. Would be handy if it came with some reference on how to use etc.

If you are still in Main Street then yes!

You are right there is a help file built into Signlab, not sure how much use it will be for node editing. The best thing to do is have a play with it & phone us if you have any questions.
