  • Easily Removeable Vinyl & Shaped Magnetic Panels

    Hi All

2 Questions, First is I have been asked for vinyl that can be removed easily, its for a main dealer to use on forecourt vehicles, ie price on the windscreen or along the side of the vehicle etc. Whats the best vinyl to use, something that would be easily removed leaving no adhesive. Big G suggested mactac 8300 on a previous post for somethin similar, would this do the job ?

2nd, I have been asked for a couple of magnetic panels but they have to be oval in shape, do I have to cut them manually or can I get them pre cut ? If I have to cut them can you buy templates?

    Thanks in advance

    Bob 😀

Hi Bob The magnetic panels are easy to cut with a pair of scissors, If you have a plotter you can make your own template. If not you could use squared paper to draw one. Most 3 year vinyls are easy to remove We use avery. You will also find that most 5-7 year also come off easily if only left on for a short period, but they are more expensive.
    Hope this Helps.

…for the mags, you could also trace a dinner platter.
I’d cut a pattern on the plotter myself.
VERY easy to cut with scissors.

    Thanks Guy’s

Just wasn’t sure regarding magnetics, like them to have a really nice neat finnish, not that great cutting curves.

Would I be better with a large pair of scissors

You can use scissors, but you have to be careful that you don’t end up with a cut that looks…well…scissor cut; kind of steppy. I use a new scalpel blade and lightly score the magnetic, which gives a groove to follow for a second, deeper cut.
