  • DTG trade print prices

    Hi,

Due to illness ( cancer hits at the most inopportune moments in life! ) I’ve not done much trade printing lately. I’ve now been asked to quote for trade printing onto 25, 50 and 100 whitet shirts ( tshirts provided) simple logo – can you give me an idea of what you would believe to be acceptable for an A4 size print please ? Bearing in mind that if it were you, you’d be needing to make a small profit out of the subbed work. Helps if I mention its dtg ! (oh I did, in the title lol)

I’ve done such work in the past, but want to make sure my prices are reflecting the current climate.

    Many thanks,

    Saph.

    Thank you 🙂

I think I might have confused things … I’ve been asked to do the printing, which I can do, I am just unsure how much to charge to do it., in this financial climate have things changed much over the past few months ?

So, what I was attempting to ask, badly it seems when I have re-read it ! is, if you were seeking someone to do the dtg work for you, to sell onto your clients, what would you reasonably expect to pay if you subbed the work out to a dtg printer?

Sorry if I didn’t explain myself clearly, and thank you for your good wishes.

    Saph 🙂

    Hi Steph

Firstly, good luck with your health issues.

The cost of DTG can vary enormously depending on several factors.

    1. Printing on dark shirts or white?
    2. Printing front, back or both?
    3. Size of the print?
    4. Shirt quality required.

One of the biggest increases in DTG costs over the recent past is the cost of cotton. DTG printers require a high cotton content and we only print on 100%.

    Regards

    John

    Hiya,

Printing onto white, logo is at largest print approx 8" by 3" and onto high quality close weave 100% cotton fabric.

I’ve always advised clients that it is akin to photography printing, use bog standard paper and get bog standard results, use high quality photographic paper and get not only great results but longer lasting ones too.

    Thanks a lot.

    Saph
