Can anyone let me know what wording should go on a "driver check oil and water and tyre pressure" sticker please as I’m not too sure on the layout.

    This is the reccomended list.

allow at least an hour before setting out on your journey….

    Appendix 3: Daily checks

The daily walk-round, which should take place before you begin a journey, should cover:
    brakes lights
    tyres windscreen wipers and washers
    horn mirrors
    speedometer tachograph
number plates refectors and reflective plates
    exhaust system any coupling gear
    speed limiter correct plating
current test certificate proper licensing with appropriate valid disc displayed
    insurance Seat belts
construction and use any load being carried
When in the cab you should check:
the driving seat is correctly adjusted for you
all interior and exterior mirrors are clean and adjusted appropriately for you
lenses and screens of rear-view video equipment are clean and clear
gauges and warning systems are working
    the parking brake is applied
the gear selector is in neutral
you have sufficient fuel for your journey
your mobile phone is switched off or diverted to voicemail
the doors are working and are closed
Before starting your journey be sure that you understand:
    the controls of the vehicle
the vehicle size – weight, height and width
    handling
    brakes – whether ABS fitted

and I would add engine oil level, and coolant level

but most companies have a docket that the driver ticks off and signs, to say he has done the necasary, before driving off, that way the legality is covered by the operator.
