Double sided tape for Vehicle names & logos
Posted by Stuart Miller on August 3, 2011 at 12:25 pmWhat double sided tape do people recommend for sticking back the names and logos onto a vehicle that have been removed for wrapping?
Also how do you cut neatly so edge of tape is not exposed?Stuart Miller replied 12 years, 9 months ago 4 Members · 6 Replies -

Hexis do a product specifically for doing this Stuart. Look on this page for HEXTT

That looks good , but at a minimum order of £27 it more expensive than the vinyl, and I only have to take off 2 short words.
Anything else that will do? -
Foam UHB tape and a bit of time to trim it up! Doubt a roll of that will be much cheaper though with postage. You may be able to get some UHB tabs from a B&Q type place, but UHB tape is handy stuff to have a roll of.

If I have to remove badges from the backs of vans I normally speak to the customer about it first and then don’t normally put them back on, customers are normally happy to leave them off so I just put them in the glove box for when they need them at a latter date :lol1:
Saves me having to mess about trying to put them back on :lol1: :lol1: :lol1:

I normally use TESA double-sided tape for all hard places "attachments", if I’m not mistaken 4965. It is know as "red" tesa double-sided, and it has a very good glue. I use it a lot with DBOND.
