Charles Dickens wrote "A Christmas Carol", your image seems to be illustrated by Dean Morrissey.

Does he have a site where you can purchase his work?
Can you do a Google image search for "A Christmas Carol"?

One thing finding one I guess Lee another is the copyright 😕

Lee I doubt you will get that image from anywhere other than the owners of the copyright.
istock, alamy, and getty has dickensian style illustrations as stock photos, as will other similar sites. but maybe not that exact one, (dickens was a writer BTW, not am illustrator)
Chrismas card designs are well protected, and therefore hard to come by without paying for the privelige.Sorry cant be more helpPeter

Thanks for advice and help all. could anybody point me in the right direction to buy?

You could google for "stock images" and try a few of the sites listed, I just had a quick look, the dickens type illustrations are quite rare, especially in colour
