  • Doming pricing query

I’m looking in to doing some doming, I have ready most of the threads about it and Rodney really is clued up but just concerned about his currency conversion as being South African I know how converting just doesn’t work by the exchange rate to work out pricing from country to country.

So anyway I was thinking of doing it like this and would love some feedback

Based on an A3 sheet of print and cut vinyl (Metamark MD5) (excluding artwork charges etc)
3 tubes of resin (might get it out of 2 tubes so 3 to be safe)
    1 hour labour

    £52.50 + vat

    Does this sound OK?

    Cheers

depends how much you are paying for a cart.
how many badges are there on the sheet.
can get 50 1 inch squares from one cart.

OK so I worked out you can get about 140 1in squared labels on an A3 sheet so at least 3 carts needed at say £3 each

lets say 4 carts to be safe

    maybe about £58 per A3?

We had some domed badges made, and they used the Hexis ultra high tack material.
Just a thought if you want them to stay truly stuck. More expensive than MD5 though.

Good point Jamie thanks, I think I will have to judge it order per order which will be the best suited and adjust/quote a suitable price, I just wanted to get an idea of market prices so I can price right.

    cheers

Chris – do you know the code number for this vinyl, as this sounds a lot cheaper than
we can buy it, or is this for a 760 wide roll?

    Cheers,
    Jamie.
