I’ve been asked to produce some of these. I would imagine i could print them on the PC-600 with orange, black and matt silver on to holographic vinyl and then resin dome them afterwards. Size is around 74mm diameter.
I was just wondering if they worked out at around £5.60 each would that be a reasonable cost including the doming etc or is it not worth my time getting involved.

its depends on the run of them mate… if in volume then no, but only half a dozen then ide say yes definitely. always sell-up! 😀

i remember when we bought our first printer. it was a Roland PC-60, the first one in the uk. i sold A4 size printed 5-7 year calendar vinyl for £25 each.

There will probably be 10-20 at a time so low volume, but probably last minute panic job though as this is how it seems the customer works.

i dont do doming mate, but i do printing and thermal to inkjet is much more expensive.so your beat before you start. however, short runs is what the likes of pc60 and pc-600 where made for. reality for your customer is that he is only going to get these done cheap if he does it in volume. he isnt, so he will need to be willing to pay proper money. ide say go in at £5 each based on the full 20 domed. then drop the number in increments of 5. and bang 75p on at a time.
remember, and push this to your customer… when you open your doming tube it will solidify if not used. so your personal costings is per tube, not per decal.

by all means get involved but cover yourself… don’t be a busy fool.
