    hi all,

we decided to buy signlab as a replacement for: omega, mistral, colorcontrol, wincut, corel, …….etc

question about the printing profiles for inkjet

does signlab support onyxprofiles or does it have good ones on it’s own?

    appreciate the response.

    • Media profiles are typically RIP specific, so using Onyx profiles with SignLab would not be recommended.
    • SignLab is already provided with high quality profiles for a wide range of printers, media and ink sets, with more profiles being incrementally made available.
    • Our goal is really about providing a reasonably good selection versus the large variety of medias that are available.
    • Please note that we have created the Novice and Advanced Calibration Wizards to enable users to create custom print modes for their given media, which are considered to be the easiest set of tools on the market for doing this work.
    • The Novice Calibration Wizard contains verbose descriptive information about the process to help with the learning process.
    • After a person has become comfortable with creating print modes, then they can use the Advanced Calibration Wizard, which has less descriptive text, but is faster because it uses a minimum number of steps.
    • We have also been working with media manufacturers to get them started with using the Novice and Advanced Calibration Wizards to profile their media.
    • If you cannot find the media profiles that you need, then absolutely contact your CADlink Sales Representative and ask them to enquire about providing support for the given media.

    Does that help?
