    Just a wee question re my network router, does it matter where I place it, i.e. next to one of the computers, in the middle of them, next to the spare 13amp socket. I hope you get the idea, I am covering about 20m from one end of the network to the other with three desk tops, a laptop and two printers.

    no.. no matter.
    unless your talking wireless networks.
    maximum leads you can buy are about 30mtr for 100baseT but the limit is much more then that. not sure exactly.
