……… or is it just me?

I keep thinking this is friday……… maybe because I’ve decided to have tomorrow off.
I had a day full of halfwitted idiots annoying me so I thought that enough was enough and that tomorrow was a day off ……….. since it’s Easter. I’m going to take Emily and the dogs up into the Campsies for a good long walk and get away from the phone!

Who’s off Monday? Are many of you having an extended weekend?

    We’re done until Tuesday morning.

In theory I’d like to use the peace and quiet to get some of the end of year paperwork cleared up but, in practice, I know I’m going to take advantage of the weather to get some miles in on the bikes.

Whatever, I’m determined to enjoy the break. 😀

😳 I’m not included in that am I Marcella… sending all those emails 😳

I had a hard time yesterday not thinking it was friday too. Had a stack of clients needing things urgently before Tuesday, but I expected that as it is always like that before any long weekend here, so I always leave the last few days with a bit of time spare..

I was just going to ‘chill’ but I’ve got artwork to do for some big jobs next week, and I need to tidy my office because it is a mess 😕 So I’ll probably potter around at work on monday….

Done a bit Lynn. Only about fifty miles though.

A gentle bimble from coffee stop to coffee stop, then on to look at a couple of houses for sale.

I’ll probably do something similar tomorrow, Sunday we have children and partners coming for lunch, but on Monday we are taking a ride up to RAF Cosford for a look at the Cold War exhibition. That’s opportune because I’ve just finished reading a book on the Avro Vulcan.

Then I’ve got the ferry booked for next Friday………….

    Life is good. 😀

    are you moving John

Today I was looking for a mate who has to be out of his existing place by the end of the month.

However, Jenny and I are considering a move ourselves, although there is no panic. There is one house for sale four doors up from us, in an excellent location, which we could adapt to what we want but we need to work out if the alterations would be cost effective. The alternative will be to build our own again.

John if you decided on the house four doors up would you employ movers or do it your self ???

We’ve tried moving ourselves and learned our lessons.

    Removal men every time.

Actually, if we build our own it will be even closer. Like next door!

Still get removal men in though. 😀

spot on I would never attempt a removal myself again, no matter how short the distance each to his own expertise’s

There’s a Vulcan on display at West Fortune airfield near Edinburgh. Also a decommisioned Concorde. Both are amazing machines.

Why can’t we in Britain build stuff like that now?

Sometimes I think we have re-gressed as a nation, everything is built down to a price – what’s wrong with innovation and progress being funded by governments instead of funded by profit making organisations?

There’s also one at Bruntingthorpe, about ten miles from here. It is supposed to be the only one still airworthy and, when they have finished working on it, hope to have it flying again by June to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Falklands conflict.

Incidentally, it took seventeen air to air re-fuellings to get one Vulcan over Port Stanley. An outstanding acheivement.
