Hi does anyone know of a vinyl supplier near to me.I am based in EXeter Devon.I know there are a lot of mail order suppliers but I need to see and ask questions about products which is always better face to face.
I am also looking for a supplier of Mylar. Thanks.Mike

have you had a look at beej curtis’s website mate?
i am sure beej will know the best type of materials for this sort of thing and probably give you advice on the suppliers also.

that said, in the past i often used regular stencil vinyl. you can buy this in 50mtr rolls from most good suppliers. doesn’t cost much either…
i used it when i was spray inking banners and stenciling curtain sided trucks.

    Hello from Barnstaple

Just for reference Mike, http://www.jagsignsupplies.com/ is pretty local for supplies although I dont see any kind of vinyl on it, but might be useful for other things. Our vinyls come from Spandex in Bristol, cant really help on Mylar.

    Hi Mike
This ebay link may be of interest. The guy is in Plymouth but I’m not sure if will be accommodating with supplier details!! (Too close?) Worth the cost of the stencils I should think though?

    Cheers peter

    Thanks Peter
I have samples of the type of material i need to source.Just need someone who knows vinyl business to identify it. Have contacted this guy in past and he wasnt very helpful even when I was considering buying his stencils. What I really could do with is some advice on cutting the stencils.Ie.what software, putting bars in to design to stop losing parts.etc.
I am using a creation 630 cutter and have managed to get over most of the teething probs.I was advised to try Signgo software as you can try it free for 30 days and the cheap price.Unfortunately cant seem to do anything other than cut simple text in vinyl.Seems a lot of people are using Corel so is that better option? Any help appreciated . Mike (?) (?)

    Hi
Corel will work as long as you can get the drivers to work. I am sure Big DaveR could help there. I use Signblaster with my Omega and it works just fine. Only use Corel with my printer at the moment so can’t help further there. I too, found the guy on ebay very unsociable!!

well corel is okay but doesn’t have any means of running a cutter unless the creation has some control system that links to a print driver or alike.

    HI Mike

I am based in exeter, if you want to bring in your sample I can have a look and perhaps advise where to source.
