Hexis and Metamark both do materials.

Have used both hexis flag on liner and their spinnaker cloth and the spinnaker gives a more vibrant finish.

You will need to flash them so heater turned right up otherwise either the ink bleeds when printing or cracks once flown.

    Hey Steve,

I’ve used the Avery DFM Flag material in the past on the Versacamm.

Doesn’t compare to fabric printers etc. Just don’t get enough vibrancy in the print.

    Cheers

Hi Steve, I bought my Versacamm because the salesman told me it would print on flag material without problem with a good quality finish. I have spent the last seven months trying to find suitable flag material and get an acceptable finish but with no real success. i am now outsourcing the flag printing to another company because , as stated you will not get a finish any where as good as dye sub or dedicated fabric printers, which is a pity considering my company is called PortaFlag and my main aim when I started the company up was to print in-house bespoke flags for clients!

Thanks for all the information Jason & Michael. I will tell the customer what to expect and if he still wants to go ahead at least he will know what he’s going to get quality wise

    Cheers

Like I mentioned, try the hexis spinnaker material as that gives a very vibrant finish on the JV3. I’ll see if I can find a pic of one I have done to show.

As them for a working sample to see for yourself. The other hexis material is ok but far from intense.

Steve, we stopped printing flags on the JV3, just doesn’t work.

The print is flat colour and can bleed, you also need good rollers to feed the material through and you can only print text one side only as it will reverse and therefore cannot print the second at all.

Save your money mate, sub it out.
