well seeing i have heard so much hullabaloo about Avery EZ apply i thought i would ask if anyone has heard or has had any experience of it shrinking?
I’m not a user of the material, but have heard many stories on other sign sites about Avery a8 EZ Apply shrinking allot in a matter of weeks/months. some say as much as a 1/8" – 1/4" of an inch ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
apparently Avery blame it on a bad batch. but reports stem back months & months & are coming in from all over the USA and in Canada too…

boy will they be picking up some big tabs to save face. ๐Ÿ˜•

You’re right Robert but the thing with Avery, in my experience, is that they WILL stand by their product. No arguments.

I had a case where we had problems on a job that had used 150 metres of Avery 800 out of a total requirement of 750 metres. Their technical rep happened to call in and although the problem wasn’t really of their making he offered to supply us with 900 series at the already advantageous 800 price I had negotiated with Cox Plastics, due to the volume.

As I say, it wasn’t their responsibility, and I had no right to expect them to do anything, so I was extremely pleased with their reaction. On that day Avery earned my loyalty and we use their material wherever we can.

I agree with you john, Avery is a reputable firm and I can only guess they will compensate those that have had problems.

I think my own personal point/grind here is the EZ apply. I still canโ€™t get round why 3M drop this patented adhesive with channels because of failing applications. Only for Avery to take it on and make it work? Its obviously over my head on how it is all done, I just think the bubble will burst at some point. (Pardon the pun) it will be interesting to see how it develops over the next 12 months or so. ๐Ÿ™„
